Residential Service
Please have your container and bulk items at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection days to ensure service. See the Sanitation Route Map for schedules. Containers must remain five feet from all objects to allow collection (i.e. vehicles, light poles, signs, mailboxes, planters, walls, fences, etc.). Do not overfill dumpsters or containers. Trash must be tied and bagged and lids must be closed in order for the container to be serviced. Residential service includes one container collected twice a week and one bulk collection per week. Additional containers are available for an extra monthly charge.

Items Not Permitted:
- Dirt
- Hot ashes, cinders, coals or any other burning materials
- Mortar, concrete, plaster or other building materials
- Motor oil
- Toxic or hazardous waste material
- Unwrapped animal waste
- Construction or building materials
Residential Bulk Pick Up:
Customers are required to call Sanitation at (928) 432-4181 to schedule a Bulk Pick Up. Bulk items will be collected on their scheduled day, usually no longer than two weeks from request by the resident. Bulk items are to be placed at the curb, away from their trash container.
As part of the resident's monthly trash service, the Sanitation Division will remove the following bulk items such as water heaters, stoves, dishwashers, sofas, mattresses, washers, dryers and lawn mowers.
Appliances containing Freon must be taken to the Landfill by the resident and will be charged a $25.00 fee. All other appliances taken to the Landfill by the resident will be charged $10.00.
Bulk trash is defined as any pile of trash larger than four (4) cubic yards in volume. Green waste, i.e., grass, leaves, plant trimmings and pruning's shall be in thirty (30) gallon plastic bags or boxes. Tree limbs must be tied in bundles not to exceed four (4) feet in length and forty (40) pounds. Flammable material must be removed from Christmas trees prior to removal and weight is not to exceed (40) pounds. Tree trunks must be placed on City right-of-way; if weight exceeds 500 pounds, charges will be incurred.
Abandoned or discarded automobiles, motorcycles, scooters and motorized vehicles shall be disposed of by the property owner. Soil, concrete bricks, concrete blocks, or fragments, aggregate, stone bituminous concrete will not be collected by the City; this must be hauled to the Landfill by the contractor, owner or resident.
Commercial & Multi-Unit Collections
The Sanitation Division has two, three, four, six, and 8 cubic yard metal bins available for solid waste disposal. Rates are based on bin size, quantity requested as well as the frequency of service. Please contact Sanitation at (928) 432-4181 to discuss the size of bin and number of pick ups that would be most appropriate for your business or multi-unit community.
